Spy agencies shouldn't be having parties on the public dole at all. Ever.

Imagine the nerve of these $100,000 and more a year thieves that handed out bags of cash after 9/11 to shut up people in the protective chain that broke down ? Events after which no one was punished ?

Why is the public paying their party bill since 1947 with the private level salaries they are given without question ? Rich people can pay their own admission.

That's what the salary is for, thieves.

And every down hour is a party for these people. Make no mistake. If they were maimed by this government and could barely walk, they'd learn what they had, fast.

...with budget cuts looming, party plans are being pared back for the Director of National Intelligence and the CIA.

Both agencies have for years been known — at least among elites in the insular world of espionage — for throwing lavish year-end events.

Under then-director Leon E. Panetta last year, the CIA brought in shipments of California wine, and served fried oysters, grilled shrimp and quesadillas. His predecessor, Michael V. Hayden, made sure there were musicians playing Irish music while stations set up inside the agency’s cavernous headquarters hallway served drinks and hors d’oeuvres.

Why are parties in the budget anyway ? They're public servants ! We don't have to entertain people who live with government credit cards !

Where the hell do they get off giving people they kill and maim a few hundred dollars in return for an $85,000 education and then they are eating free food that you'd never see if you were me ?

At the CIA and DNI, hundreds of guests filed through receiving lines to meet the agencies’ directors. Senior White House officials, lawmakers and journalists all mingled with officials from Washington’s clandestine world.

“Scaling back our holiday celebrations is just another small example of our commitment to making sure that we continue to make wise fiscal decisions across the board,” Clapper said in a prepared statement.

Scaling back ? If you were concerned about scaling back, you'd pay your own admission; you're common thieves charging the pubic the bill because you can.

You define turning liberty into license.

The measures come at a time when the Obama administration is also probably eager to avoid any appearance of opulence amid the sour economy and soaring national debt.

Appearance is all it is after they burned money for 60 years of this.

Indeed, the party savings are probably more meaningful symbolically than financially. A U.S. official said the annual DNI party typically cost about $50,000, or roughly the cost of a single Hellfire missile, and a fraction of the $54 billion spy budget this year.

Well in that case, why not just give them a $100,000 party since $50,000 is so meaningless.

They think you're stupid and that it's acceptable if they say they're having less partying instead of no partying, or partying that they reach into those deep pockets they loot from the taxpayer and fund themselves, as citizens get $63 a month when their husbands are killed.

They're Gehlen- taught and managed thieves and traitors.
