The targeted majority on 9/11 are now "other victims" ?

In an article on Brewster Fire Chief Moran, a damn fool reporter wrote:

On Sunday morning Sept. 11, the town and fire department will dedicate and unveil the sculpture that will remember all firemen, police and other victims of the World Trade Center attack, as well as those who perished in the plane crashes in Pennsylvania and at the Pentagon.

What an idiotic statement.

Apparently 9/11 was an attack on police and firemen, and 2000 others just happened to get in the way.

How do you refer to the majority of the victims as "other victims" while specifying "all firemen, police" ?

Why did the police and fire respond there ? Why do they always manage to get themselves put ahead of people with years of college ?

The media might think they're an elite, but they're no elite. They're people handing each other manufactured credentials. Indeed, the Chief admits anyone could search in the early hours until the bureaucracy got in the way. Given the cancer cases, fat lot of good that did.

May I remind the reporter that the police and fire serve at the pleasure of, and are entirely funded by, the people they forget, pillage and ignore as they pander for grant money and endless raises as the rest are told the economy is in free fall as the WTC was that day ?
