Outages: Then and now.

Last Saturday's snowstorm triggered a chilly blackout for hundreds of thousands in the state, but among the more vulnerable Alex, a retired Army lieutenant colonel who served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam.

Alex's home appeared to be the only one on Underhill Lane that lost power. A tall oak snapped and ripped two holes in his roof, and limbs yanked down his power lines. The former city alderman has been recovering from recent neck and back surgeries, and the cold imposed more pain...

"I don't want a big hoopla," Chomko said the CL&P worker told her.

The Lieutenant Colonel received a Bronze Star in World War II.

So what's my point ?

Didn't he receive $96,000 a year, benefits, and a $60,000 pension (all rough based on 20 years).

Didn't he go on to a career in the Military Industrial Complex on the board of a Homeland Security company for millions a year ?

What's that ? You say that was then.

You're right, it was.

He's not a thief.

He served. He's not being served.
