Outages review: "Free" review will "make" it unbiased (if you're stupid)

Governor Malloy is feigning an investigation of his own and CL&P's acts.

Malloy announced that a consulting firm led by former FEMA director James Lee Witt will conduct a complete review of the response by CL&P and the United Illuminating Co. in the wake of the storm. The firm, Witt Associates, will perform the work for free, and Malloy arranged the review after a conversation with a fellow Democratic governor, Martin O'Malley of Maryland. Witt's firm, which specializes in crisis management, has pledged to finish the review by Dec. 1.

This is a joke, right ?

It's a rapid fire rubber stamp squad that's going to identify a few mistakes, ignore real ones, and end it fast to mark it go away. Can't they get it done before the election to "prove" everyone connected did their job right ?

And for the stupid, the word "free" will make it more real as they cover their negligence in failing to act more quickly.

Wasn't Kissinger available ? Or a director from HAARP or the high altitude particle dumps ?

In the small town of Union along the Massachusetts border, First Selectman Andy Goodhall expressed his outrage Friday in an e-mail that was sent to two Republican legislators in his district. He said that Union, one of the few towns still listed as "black'' in the CL&P map for the highest outages in the state, was supposed to receive additional crews that had been promised – and did not arrive.

"I have been lied to. This is unacceptable,'' Goodhall wrote in his email. "Enough is enough. They should not make false promises! I have been patient and co-operative to this point. I promised I would be, unless I was lied to. I have been.''

He ended the email with "HELP!''

Welcome to my world, Selectman Goodhall and the rest. They maimed me in 1998 with a heart twice its normal size, cardiomyopathy, internal bleeding, neuropathy and vasculitis, and hid like cockroaches under a flashlight after the attempt on my life.

You danced with the devil and have learned for now that they don't care about you or anyone. But soon enough you'll all be breaking bread again...
