It's a trap.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 339.51 points, or 2.86 percent, to finish at 12,208.55, led by BofA [BAC 7.22 0.63 (+9.56%) ] and Alcoa [AA 11.34 0.98 (+9.46%) ].
The blue-chip closed above the psychologically-important 12,000 level for the first time since August and is on track for its best month since Jan. 1987.
