Soetoro-Obama landed at Otis Air Force Base on Cape Cod yesterday.

That's not how the Daily Mail sees it.

To them it was

The base recently received a total of $17 million ! Yet despite the "President" using it three times, the British have still never heard of it !

What kind of reporting was it that the Cape Cod Times produced ? It's weeks later and there are still no details of another fraud bailout for more contractors that has been secreted based on "security". Over and over the Times publishes articles that are a virtual press release from these people, as if they're the only ones trained in this field or the only ones smart enough to understand what they do on Cape Cod.

Two construction projects are already under way — costing a total of $17.6 million for an intelligence facility and another $7 million for a new headquarters that Schiavi says will function as the unit's operations and training building. Construction on the headquarters is just beginning, but the new intelligence facility could be completed by the end of the year, he said.

In all, the 102nd Intelligence Wing employs 1,100 full-time and traditional Guardsmen, Schiavi said, which is about the same number that worked in support of the fighter wing at the Upper Cape base.

The appropriation is part of Fiscal 2012 Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations, Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., announced.

The $96 million includes $34 million for replacement of Hanscom Middle School at Hanscom Air Force Base; $9 million for the 182nd Area Support Medical Co. to construct a readiness center in Natick; $22 million for land acquisition and construction of training facilities at the Army Reserve Center in Attleboro; and $7.8 million for building upgrades at Otis Air Force Base.

The only Massachusetts base listed on the 2005 list of recommendations for closure was Otis National Guard Base, but it was removed from the list later that year. As part of that realignment, the F-15 Eagle fighters once stationed at Otis were moved to the Air National Guard's 104th Fighter Wing at Barnes Regional Airport in Westfield.
